The term “Meta” is a Greek word and its meaning is Beyond, and the term “Verse” is derived from the word Universe.

Therefore, the meaning of this word is Beyond our Universe.

A metaverse is a virtual world that is fully immersive and interconnected, allowing users to interact with each other and with virtual objects and environments in a manner similar to the real world. It is a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual reality. The term was first coined by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash.
